Library Rules

  • Only note books, paper and pencil or pen may be brought inside the library along with library books due for return.
  • Students may borrow one book at a time on their library cards. Students of Classes IX to XII may borrow two books each at a time. Cards are not transferable. Any one found lending her card to others may have it cancelled.
  • Books are issued for a week at a time. They must be returned on the due date stamped on the date sheet. Only books for which there is no immediate demand will be reissued.
  • Students are responsible for books borrowed on their cards. Any damage to the books should be pointed out at the time of borrowing and the signature of the librarian obtained. Loss of books or any damage to them noticed at the time of return, will have to be made good by the students.
  • Periodicals, journals, publications, dictionaries, guides and other costly reference books etc. shall not be lent out.
  • Books are issued and returned only during library periods. A fine of Rs. 10.00 per week is charged for overdue books.
  • If a book is lost, it will have to be replaced with a new one or the market price of the same will have to be paid. There will be a penalty for scribbling in the book.
  • Students should return their library cards at the end of the academic year. Students of Classes X and XII should return their books before going on study leave for the Board Examinations.
  • Students are welcome to use the Library for reference work during school hours if they come with written permission from the Principal/Subject Teacher/ Class Teacher.
  • Library books, Magazines & Furniture are the property of the school and must not be marked, damaged or taken out of the library without permission.
  • Complete silence should be maintained inside and in the vicinity of the library.
  • The School expects the students to make use of the Library facility to the best conducive manner for the betterment of their career.
